Faction Quest Chains

Eight steps per faction, escalating cash and reputation — and the single biggest slice of Legend of Blister Online progress

Each of the game's five factions runs its own dedicated quest chain, entirely separate from its reputation-tier rewards or Hostile penalties — a fixed ladder of eight named steps, each harder than the last, each paying both a growing cash reward and a chunk of reputation with that faction. Finishing every step of every chain is worth 30% of the Legend of Blister Online percentage on its own — by a wide margin the single largest slice of that meter, ahead of Exalted standing, property, world exploration, and total level combined at only 70% between the four of them.

The five chains

FactionWhat the chain tracksFinal step
Bounty Hunters GuildReported kills against specific, escalating targets "Guild Legend" — report 5 god titan kills
Drift Bank SyndicateHow much cash you've built up in your vault"Syndicate Legend" — bank ¤750,000
Cult of the AbyssHow deep underground you've gone, plus two specific superboss milestones"One With The Dark" — reach 600m depth
Frontier RangersMap regions explored, then distinct biomes visited "Master Cartographer" — set foot in every biome the world has
Settlers MilitiaSurviving Rival City war waves, then mopping up after defeating it "Pax Militia" — 40 more reported kills once the city has fallen

The Abyss chain in particular weaves two specific boss fights directly into its otherwise depth-based ladder — defeating Poseidon in Atlantis partway through, and completing the Revelation itself near the very end — so that chain alone touches three of the game's biggest set-piece moments.

Eight steps, not five

Every chain originally shipped with five steps. All five were later extended with three further "endgame continuation" steps once the original ladder had a real ceiling — the Bounty chain's fifth step, for instance, once ended at "report 2 pyro drake kills," and now continues through hunting the Guild's Titan Slayer and Guild Legend milestones well beyond that. Most chains keep measuring the same thing throughout; the Rangers are the one exception, switching what the chain even tracks partway through — its first five steps count map regions explored, but its three continuation steps switch to counting distinct biomes visited instead, a deliberately truer measure of ground covered than simple region count once "explored" stopped being a challenging enough bar on its own. Every chain still keeps the same overall shape: numbers get harder, rewards get bigger, and the final reputation payout on the very last step is always the largest single jump in the whole ladder.

Version history

  • Every chain extended with three more steps past its original five, giving each faction a genuine endgame continuation rather than a ladder that simply stopped once a player had outgrown it.
  • The Rangers' "distinct biomes" target stopped being a hand-typed number. Its final step's target had been hand-recounted once already (from a stale 28 up to 123) and was still wrong by one — replaced with a live count read from the game's own biome registry at the moment the step is checked, so it can never drift out of sync with the world again.
  • Fixed the Rangers' opening step counting arrival as exploring. "Local Cartography" asks for 20 explored regions, but a brand-new character starts already standing in one with its fog cleared by nothing more than existing there — corrected so the step counts regions genuinely explored, not just the one you spawned into.

Trivia

  • The Militia chain is the only one of the five with a hard narrative turning point partway through — defeating the Rival City outright at step five changes what the remaining three steps even ask for, from surviving war waves to mopping up loyalists in the aftermath.
  • The Bank chain never asks you to spend anything at all — every step is measured purely by how much you've deposited and kept in the vault, making it the one chain with no combat or exploration requirement anywhere in its ladder.
